Wedding announcements may seem like a chore for the bride but they are an absolute must. They tell people of the big day, especially those that weren't invited to the ceremony or reception. These don't have to be elaborate letters, just a small wedding announcement card that lets people celebrate in your union. The newspaper may run the notice, but you also want to send a method that is a bit more personal and unique.

When writing the personalized wedding announcements you want to include a few of the basics such as the names of the bride and groom and their families, especially their parents, the date and location of the wedding, the name of the officiate who performed the ceremony, names of those who stood up for the bride and groom, what music was played at the ceremony, and details pertaining to the reception. This is all information that can be written on a small wedding card.

You can add more to the announcements to make them even more unique. Any aspect of the ceremony that was different from others can be included. If the groom is Scottish and wore a kilt, for example, that is a great detail for the cards. Where the bride and groom are headed for the honeymoon, and what they will be doing afterwards, is great information to include.
