Your Wedding Day - Once In A Lifetime

Your Wedding Day - Once In A Lifetime
By Eric Hartwell

It is finally here. The day you thought would never come has finally arrived. You are about to get married, and you can not be any happier knowing that you will be sharing the rest of your life with the one person who completes you as a human being. But enough with the mushy stuff, and let us get on with business.

Weddings are real hard work and not just an event easily planned. It takes a lot of time, effort, manpower, money, and more to bring the wedding day of your dreams to life. You may either have half a year or a month to prepare, but no dream wedding is impossible to create. So sit back, relax, get a pen, a paper, and your telephone and get ready for the wedding of a lifetime.

Quality over Quantity

First and foremost, always pick quality over quantity, and think critically. Take it slow and never rush the preparation, and you will find yourself content with your wedding preparation and wedding day.

The Wedding List

Before preparing for your wedding, you should have finalized the date and time of your wedding.

Next, choose the priest or anybody recognized by the law to officiate your wedding. In conjunction with this, you can also choose your entourage.

Make a decision on the venue of the wedding ceremony and reception. For these two, include also the cake and food caterers and the florist who will be decorating these venues.

Make a guest list and include the most important and special people both to you and your fiancé; your family, relatives, friends, and officemates. You do not have to invite everybody you know, just those people who are very close to you. You should also make sure that the number of guests you are expecting to attend can be accommodated by your church and reception venues and also consider the possibility of unexpected guests arriving on your wedding day. Once the guest list is final, have your invitations done and sent out. It is better to have a reply card attached to your wedding invitation to know who among your guests will be available to attend your wedding day and the number of wedding favors that you will need to order.

While sending out the invitations, you can also prepare the attires you, your groom and the entourage will need. There are gown and tuxedo rental stores anywhere, but if you are going to rent them, make sure that you have ample time in choosing them. If you are going to have them made for you, make sure that they are ready at least a week before the wedding so adjustments can be made before the day itself. Of course, do not forget to have the items needed and prepared days before the ceremony such as the cord, veil, candles, rings, etc.

And for this most memorable day, hire professionals to take pictures and videos of that special occasion.

But with all the planning and preparation, remember to work within your resources and budget.
