Your Wedding - Choosing Transportation
By Eric Hartwell
A perfect wedding is founded on perfect planning. In preparing for a wedding it is a must to get all things ready for the occasion. The bride and groom must be decided on where they will stay before and after the wedding, how they will get to the church, how they will get to the reception and how they will get to the honeymoon destination. Will these destinations or travel points be miles from the venue or it is just a short leap away? Couples must also be decided if they want to make a grand entrance or just a simple entry. This will determine whether you will need a professional form of wedding transportation or not.
Soon to wed couples must also consider their family and guest transportation needs. Depending on the place of your ceremony and reception, you may or may not need to provide a mass transportation facility for your guests. Try to consider those guests and relatives who have no car or other means of travel. Though it is not really your obligation it is, nevertheless, a sign of courtesy. Remember to consider ample parking for them and many guests at a function needs generous parking. The planners often forget this issue and they end up having clogged parking area or a busy street scene to contend with. In such situations, couples may opt to hire valet attendants or just chose a venue with spacious spaces for parking.
All of this planning depends on your wedding budget. This will determine if you can opt for a luxurious limousine or just an ordinary bridal or wedding car. Evidently, the more deluxe it is, the pricier. Rates for transport can be charged on a per hour basis or alternatively on a fixed cost. Rates of around $40 to $70 per hour per vehicle are common but this will depend on which type of transportation you chose. Couples should set a transportation budget with at least 10% allowance. This will secure you from any costing changes.
